Authors submitting to LOGOS - A are expected to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and scientific ethics. Authors must adhere to the ethical principles and guidelines established by the European Association of Science Editors (EASE), available at:
https://ease.org.uk/publications/author-guidelines/
Key responsibilities include:
• Originality: All submitted manuscripts must be original and must not have been previously published or submitted elsewhere. Proper citation of any previously published material—by the same or other authors—is mandatory.
• Plagiarism: The use of others’ ideas, words, or findings must be appropriately referenced. The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism in any form.
• Ethical Approval: If the manuscript includes research involving human participants, authors must declare that the research was conducted ethically and, where applicable, approved by an institutional ethics committee. Documentation may be requested by the editorial board.
• Permissions: Authors are responsible for obtaining necessary permissions for any third-party material, such as images, tables, or documents.
• Funding Disclosure: Authors must disclose all financial support, research grants, or institutional affiliations related to the research.
-
In accordance with EASE guidelines, authors must confirm the full and final list of authors at the time of the initial submission. Any request for changes in authorship (addition, removal, or rearrangement of names) must be made before acceptance of the manuscript and must be approved by the editorial board.
The corresponding author must provide:
• The reason for the requested change, and
• Written confirmation from all listed authors and, if applicable, the author(s) being added or removed.
After acceptance, changes to authorship will only be considered under exceptional circumstances and, if approved, will be documented through a corrigendum if the article has already been published online.

Reviewers are critical to the editorial process at LOGOS - A. Their evaluation must be:
• Confidential: Manuscripts under review must not be shared or discussed with others.
• Objective and Constructive: Reviews should provide clear, constructive, and respectful feedback to assist authors in improving their work.
• Qualified: Reviewers should decline invitations to review if the manuscript topic is outside their area of expertise.
• Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and may opt out of the review process. Editorial board members are also recused from handling manuscripts where conflicts exist (e.g., personal, professional, or institutional relationships with the author).
Instructions for reviewers are provided directly via email and will soon be available in an official Reviewer Guidelines document.
- All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening using iThenticate. Manuscripts found to contain significant levels of plagiarism will be rejected without further review. Authors may be asked to revise or provide clarification in cases of improper citation or similarity with previous work.
