Peer Review Process
LOGOS – A applies a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the academic integrity and quality of all published content. The review process is structured as follows:
- Editorial Screening
Upon submission to publishing@logos-a.com.mk, each manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the editorial board to assess:
- Relevance to the journal’s scope
- Adherence to submission guidelines
- Originality and academic quality
- Compliance with ethical standards (plagiarism check)
Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria are returned to the authors without peer review.
- Reviewer Selection
Suitable manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, publication record, and neutrality. Conflicts of interest are strictly avoided.
- Double-Blind Review
In accordance with the double-blind model:
- Authors do not know the identities of the reviewers
- Reviewers do not know the identities of the authors
Each reviewer evaluates the manuscript based on:
- Originality and significance of the research
- Methodological soundness
- Theoretical and/or empirical contribution
- Clarity of presentation and structure
- Adequacy of references and scholarly grounding
- Reviewer Recommendations
Reviewers provide a written report and recommend one of the following decisions:
- Accept without revision
- Accept with minor revisions
- Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
- Reject
Constructive comments are provided to guide authors in improving their manuscript.
- Editorial Decision
The editorial board, guided by the reviewers’ recommendations, makes the final decision. In cases of conflicting reviews, an additional reviewer may be invited to ensure a fair outcome.
- Revision and Resubmission
If revisions are requested, authors must resubmit their revised manuscript within a specified timeframe, along with a detailed response letter outlining how each reviewer comment has been addressed.
- Final Decision and Acceptance
Upon satisfactory revision, the editorial team conducts a final review. If the manuscript meets all academic and ethical standards, it is formally accepted for publication.
- Post-Acceptance Procedures
The final manuscript is prepared for publication, including copyediting, layout formatting, and assignment of DOI. Authors will be asked to approve the final version before publication.
